Denver is known for attracting nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. This should come as no surprise considering the scenery, mountainous terrain and wide open areas. While Denver is the largest city in Colorado with a population over 600,000 people, it's also one of the most spacious cities in the country. Not only is there a lot of space, but the city is designed so traffic and overall congestion is rare. As far as the air goes, it's always fresh. This is expected with the elevation at 5,280 feet. Yes, this is a mile high, which is where the nickname Mile High City comes from. Many people who are interested in living in Denver first choose a long-term rental property.

If you're moving to Denver because you want to live a recreational lifestyle, then it doesn't matter what area you choose. However, if that's not the case, then you need to know a little information before making a selection. The basic rule of thumb for Denver is that the closer you get to the City Center, the more people you will find. If you like high energy, then look for a long-term apartment rental as close to the City Center as possible. Also keep in mind that the apartments and lofts in this area will likely be older than the apartments on the outskirts of the city. If you would be happy with a historical and trendy environment, then consider LoDo, which stands for Lower Downtown.

If you want more peace and quiet as well as a more modern living space but you still want an apartment or a loft, then this is still possible. Look into Capitol Hill or Baker. If you want to live in one of the most unique areas in the country, let alone Denver, then consider Park Hill. What makes Park Hill so unique is that it has a successful racial integration program. In Park Hill, you can still find apartments and lofts, but you can also find long-term condor and house rentals.

If you want to live in a house with a lot of property, or in a mobile home, then you should consider looking in areas at the edge of the city. These areas often have a lot of parks and recreation centers. Did you know that Denver has over 200 parks and 29 recreation centers? That has a lot to do with Denver being home to one of the healthiest populations in the country. When the opportunity is there, people will take advantage of that opportunity.

The largest park in Denver is Genesee Park. The most popular attraction is the 16th Street Mall, which offers arts, entertainment and shopping. The Denver Performing Arts Center is a great place to see a show on a Friday or Saturday night. Even if you're just taking a stroll through the city, you should find beautiful scenery and live music.

In all, Denver is the perfect place to live for anyone who enjoys nature, fitness, performing arts or affordable long-term rentals.
